Many RW people have a kind of ego-driven negative reaction to the word "intellectualism" where they interpret it as inherently pretentious. In reality, intellectualism is the only moral framework for understanding things, rather than the amoral tribalist framework. "Propaganda" relies on the latter framework, with no coherent ideology and constantly adjusting rhetoric in order to pander to whoever the audience is. Consistency is not a concern; only rallying the masses in favor of a general, low-resolution idea by appealing to their emotions. Many people online are trying the propaganda strategy rather than the intellectualism strategy, but I don't think it's going to pan out because mass networking online has a way of exposing logical contradictions. Christianity is the most obvious example of this; you can explain that it's primitive superstition and people will just have the Grug reaction of basically growling at you, giving you platitudes and/or non-sequiturs, or blocking you. What's really bizarre is that the online right wing is still so tribal that everyone seems to cuck and not call out Christianity as poison, and almost none of the ones who do call it out as such identify the truly Aryan framework, which could be variously called secularism, rationalism, scientism, etc. Some of them even promote paganism, which is just another primitive superstition. From an actionable standpoint, people just need to stop being scared of alienating Christians, and they also need to stop being scared of being called a Redditor for advocating for Aryan scientism. This seems really obvious, but I see basically no one acting in accordance with this understanding. I guess most people just don't think.
