Some people who were born in the '70s & '80s have beliefs about racism ending because they know it's stupid and about freedom of expression ("It's still a free country, isn't it?" would be something we said with no irony). Some people who were born at that time have had their brains "washed" with some "new thoughts" over the last few decades and those people fit right in with the woke. But there are many of us who did our own things and were "rebellious" of the mainstream and this world is like a complete unknown. I often feel as if I was transported from the '90s to a dystopic future I don't recognize.
