I've been having computer problems, in fact, disasters. My main computer's hard drive simply died. Fortunately, everything has backups, but I don't have a decent computer to replace it with. I'm using a really old computer I found in the trash a few years ago. So meanwhile I am looking around at new computers to buy and I found something I've known for 30 years. No matter what year you are in, the computer you want is $3000, the computer you will settle for is $300. This has been true since I bought my first one in about 1989.
