Banana Oat Bars Asked grok for recipes to use up a dozen bananas. Of the choices this one was easiest. 4-X-ed it. Used 1/2 sized bun pan. Ran out of oatmeal, used 3 cups of Cheerios for the remainder. Used Butterscotch Chips. #JulianEats #JulianCA grok: Dense, chewy bars with minimal ingredients, emphasizing bananas for a snack or dessert. Smaller batch to avoid excessive yield. Ingredients (Makes 9 bars, 8x8-inch pan): 3 ripe bananas, mashed 2 cups rolled oats ¼ cup peanut butter (or almond butter) ¼ cup maple syrup or honey ½ tsp cinnamon Pinch of salt Optional: ¼ cup chopped nuts or dark chocolate chips Instructions: Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment. Mix: In a bowl, combine mashed bananas, oats, peanut butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in nuts or chips if using. Bake: Spread mixture evenly in the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until set and lightly golden. Cool and Cut: Cool completely, then cut into 9 squares.
