In 1971 Doc Adams had an almost fatal heart attack, things didn't look good at all, L.A. Doctors said working again was out of the question. But he had two things going for him, Freedom over his body & the Right To Try that President Trump had to give back to Americans & Heart Surgeons that still practiced First Do No Harm over the settled Practice of keeping hospital bed full today. The Gunsmoke writers burned the midnight oil & Milburn Stone was replaced by Pat Hingle as the town Doctor that was looking more like a permanent replacement.. Milburn Stone was down, but he wasn't done yet & used his God Given Right to Try a new Experamental Open Heart Surgery where his Doctors got him up out of bed the next day & just 6 weeks latter Pat Hingle was out of a job again. Milburn Stone never missed another Gunsmoke & died 6 years after the Liberals at CBS was finally was able to cancel Gunsmoke in 1975 over Toxic Masculinity that America is in such a desperate need of today..
