Þar sem heil herdeild af vel borgaðri áróðursmaskínu beið í leynum og réðist að okkur. Þar sem var logið um EB lon og don og engum vörnum komið við nema að hengja sig á stanslausa skothríð áróðurs á Facebook til að svara þessum lygum. Fyrir mér voru þetta engar kosningar heldur Trump style auglýsinga skothríð þar sem passað var að engin kynning á EB myndi heyrast. Ekkert nema tilraun til að svipta þjóðinni rétti til að kjósa um EB eins og allar 27 þjóðir EB hafa fengið að gera. Not an election, but an ambush. Personally, I do not view this as an election, but rather as an ambush—where a whole battalion of a well-paid propaganda machine lay in wait and attacked us. It was a situation rife with lies about the EU, where no effective defense could be mounted other than trying to counter the ceaseless barrage of propaganda on Facebook. To me, this was no election; it was a Trump-style advertising onslaught designed to ensure that no information about the EU could be heard. It was nothing but an attempt to deprive the nation of the right to vote on the EU, a right granted to all 27 EU nations. To nie były wybory, lecz zasadzka Osobiście nie postrzegam tego jako wyborów, lecz raczej jako zasadzkę – sytuację, w której cały batalion świetnie opłacanej machiny propagandowej czaił się w ukryciu, by nas zaatakować.
