There was a big snarkfest brewing among that cultural appropriation crowd on the topic of wearing Hamas headkerchiefs or Free Palestine t-shirts to easily pick up art hos at anti-zionism protests. As one who has spent timelines dabbling in the tactical art of message tees to lure poon to its relinquishment, I can say with some confidence that political t-shirts don't much move the needle with lefty art hos (for a while, my bread n nutter). You'll get convo going, but it will be dry and sort of perfunctory. Street protest banter just doesn't lend itself to romantic frisson. Indisputably, the t-shirt game that worked best was my "hilariously sexist" collection. Oh those art hos and tradlasses alike would stew, while their fissures would bedew.
