Four mega corporations now control 85% of the market Two of them foreign owned. One owed by a Brazilian company which uses the American brand to process Brazilian imported beef and package it as USDA. A second, by China, which makes exporting beef back to China a priority, raising consumer prices here at home A stable, affordable food supply is perhaps the most important aspect of a Nation’s National Security. If our American beef producers are driven out of the market by national conglomerates, or worse foreign interests, a Trillion dollar / year military budget will not save us from societal collapse… and, btw, the entire U.S. food supply is in the same predicament, not just ranchers.
