The 33 counties of Illinois are just like the 13 counties in Eastern Oregon who have voted to separate from their current state and join another state that represents their values better and is willing to take them in. As a country we should be doing all we can to support self-determination like this. We need the Trump administration or Congress to apply leverage against the Illinois and Oregon governments until they respect voters' wishes.
