Yesterday was a normal beautiful morning until severe thunderstorms rolled in. I was working in my office listening to the wind blowing hard, bolts of lightning flying around and booming thunder shaking the house. Then I hear my very quiet wife very loudly calling me to come quickly. As I went onto the balcony she's pointing to the valley below where there were deep dark greenish clouds blowing in and the concerning part was what looked like a funnel dropping to the ground. It was probably an optical illusion that made it look like it was spinning slowly but spinning. The winds were really blowing hard and the clouds all moving in from the South East quickly so this funnel like thing was blowing along with the cloud. The winds and thunder were really loud and I'm thinking that's not a tornado....but yet part of my brain says....are you sure? By the time we processed that it's just a really wild looking cloud I remembered to at least take a few picks at the end of it. The camera doesn't do the real life image justice, but it's something. Just sharing a moment from the day. I've almost been hit by lightning a few times up here so when millions of volts are flying around overhead I try to stay in when I can. ...Enjoy a quiet day folks.
