I like to post happy stuff most of the time but regardless of where you live you can encounter cops like this. It really hits home because a few years back I had a similar situation that ended very differently. 2 cops showed up at my place in the middle of nowhere and requested permission to search for someone. Perfect gentlemen, polite and respectful. I used that as time to teach the officers about farm life. As I wandered out into the dark it was silent except for a little chatter on their radio. I said follow me and I headed to the edge of my fields. I said what do you hear? It was almost silent. There is nobody anywhere near this area but I'll show you and explain along the way why I know there is nobody that doesn't belong here anywhere nearby. I walked into the dark entrance to the barn with a headlight on. You could hear rustling and hooves start to make noise. I said this barn is filled with goats. they are prey animals and if anyone made a noise in here or was up in the loft especially they would be sounding the alarm. They all have their warning signals and they weren't unsettled at all before we walked into the barn. Then I took them on a short walk to the edge of a pitch dark field. I said what do you hear in the distance? Their response...rustling leaves in the trees. I said that confirms there is nothing in that entire area right up to and including the woods. He asked and how do you know that? I said I have an outer perimeter fence that spans the property and there are donkeys that roam free in there. If anyone or any critter big enough to feel like a threat to them they will sound the fog horn alert that will wake everyone up and alert them to the possible threat. They can be guardian animals. Not only will they alert they will engage in protecting the area in many cases. We've found a few things stomped that have strayed into the wrong place at night. I used this little stroll to educate them on farm life and animal behavior. They were very appreciative and then went on their merry way. That said I can't imagine how a playful little baby donk who was domestically raised specially for it's friendliness for a petting zoo was a threat, but then again it's a messed up world of ignorant people that really don't understand or care to understand the world around them. Just needed to share this one that makes my blood boil. Think of all the dogs that are shot this same way by cops. anyway I'm going to slide back into my cup of coffee and find some happy something or another to read. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/08/georgia-cop-placed-leave-after-familys-baby-donkey/
