I spoke to a friend who I respect about the events of this upcoming week from a historical perspective. That is, whether or not the military will intervene before inauguration. I asked him this: "Has there ever been such a time in the history of the world where one week was this consequential? Where on single act sets the course of the entire world into two exact opposite directions? You are the historian...it seems we are in the middle of one of the most significant moments in history." His reply: "The Garden of Eden, Caesar deciding whether to cross the Rubicon, and Gethsemane." Though the two theological examples are of ultimate significance - transcending above any other events in history - you can see some analogies of what is at stake. Two paths: Deliverance from tyranny, or the fulfillment of their wicked agenda. There is no middle ground. Come Thursday the 21st, there will be no status quo. We will live in a whole new world. There will either be a Great Awakening or a Great Reset. Let us pray that God has mercy upon his people and relinquishes the judgment due to America. And if this tyranny does come upon us, let God be merciful in us learning in and through his judgment.
