The government lies to us all the time. I think any rational person has realized this by now. It’s up to us, the individual citizens, to learn how to differentiate the lies from the truth. But how do we do that? The best way to spot a lie is to find the contradiction in the narrative. A lie, no matter how neatly its pieces are assembled, will necessarily contain a contradiction somewhere. Some specific detail won’t match up with reality. It’s this contradiction, this perversion of the truth, that makes a lie a lie. We can’t trust the government to be honest with us. But we can trust ourselves and our own minds. You can spot the contradiction in the government’s narrative when you stop allowing the self-proclaimed experts do the thinking for you and instead learn how to think for yourself. That’s your God-given job as citizen: To put in the work to discover the truth for yourself rather than blindly accepting the narrative the government and its cronies try to force-feed you.
