13 years ago I set up all my Dad's air compressors and hoses with Universal quick disconnects. Well, they fit I and M styles universally. Then my Dad let a mobile mechanic borrow his shop for awhile. All of his tools were set up with T style... So he put T style fomale QDs on everything. When he left, he took those with him and put on the mismatched I and M female QDs that I had put away. Most of the U females left for parts unknown. Since then I have put some new U females on. But not enough. And whenever someone needs a connector, those I and M ones are still around.
