Novak Djokovic Could Still Be Kicked Out Of The Australian Open? Following his court victory Monday, against deportation from Australia, the world No 1 could still be kicked out of the country at the discretion of Alex Hawke the Minister for Immigration who has the power to once again revoke the Serb's visa before the Grand Slam begins January 17. Djokovic who was awarded a medical exemption to travel by Tennis Australia's chief medical officer, apologised for an "administrative mistake" which he's currently being probed for. Authorities are also looking into whether he broke isolation rules at home in Serbia in December; and into when he took and received the results of his coronavirus test after allegedly making contrasting claims. In fact the Australian authorities are apparently miffed that Djokovic may escape their authoritarian coronavirus lockdown measures, hence their unwillingness to let the world's No 1 play the game he's there for. Hawke has yet to make a decision on the matter despite the draw for the Australian Open being conducted Thursday. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said: "I will refer to Mr Hawke’s most recent statement that position hasn’t changed. These are personal ministerial powers able to be exercised by Minister Hawke and I don't propose to make any further comment at this time. That individual must prove they are vaccinated or provide a medical reason, that is the policy and the policy hasn't changed." https://www.keneci.com/read-more-hotfeed-on-keneci-channel#h.9ra8f0af2p2p
