Roman Abramovich Puts Chelsea FC Up For Sale As Concerns Grow Over His Links To Russia Roman Abramovich Wednesday night confirmed that the British soccer team is up for sale for £3B, and that he is writing off the £1.5billion debt he is owed by the team. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer challenged Boris Johnson in Parliament Wednesday, about why Abramovich has not yet been sanctioned, with the Prime Minister replying: "It is not appropriate to comment on individual cases." However, Abramovich will reportedly receive at least two firm offers for Chelsea by the end of this week.
