Luton Town and Crystal Palace met at Kenilworth Road in an FA Cup 4th Round tie. It was always going to be a difficult match for the League Two side against Premier League opposition. Palace made a number of changes from their last league outing but still fielded a strong starting XI. Luton did well to keep their higher league opponents at bay for the opening 20 minutes. However, Palace started to dominate possession and create chances. They had a couple of shots blocked in the area before opening the scoring through Jordan Ayew. He was given too much space inside the box to neatly side foot home. The visitors continued to apply pressure and extend their lead.
