Why do some google search results send you to google instead of the site you were trying to find, often for conservative news sites? If you notice the URL, it will have the format https://www.google.com/amp/s/<the actual URL you want>/amp/ where URL you were seeking is inserted in the middle. Thinking like a programmer, I could find all sorts of ways to leverage this capability I could use it to track what headlines are trending or even rewrite the content of the page being displayed from obvious to not so obvious ways.
