Eleven jurors were ready to call it insanity and send her away from a murder verdict. One man would not. The foreperson was already filling out the forms. She said she was so excited. Then that one juror still would not say the killings were not a crime. So the other jurors went on television and called him arrogant. One said he “couldn’t get past the fact” she viciously killed her children. #GayleKing needed a moment when she learned he was a Black man. Then #NBC Boston went to his house, dug through old court files, and put his life in the window. They still have not named him. They have done everything but. That is not #journalism. That is a #mob with press credentials. Jury service is supposed to be protected for a reason. If one holdout can be smeared the minute a verdict goes the wrong way, no honest person will ever sit on a hard case again. #RonDeSantis saw it and did what the press would not. He said a man objected to letting a woman kill her three young kids and get away with it, so NBC tried to smear the juror whose identity should be protected. Then he offered him asylum in Florida. He said he’d be welcomed and appreciated. Good. That is the first decent thing anyone in power has said to that man. Murder is still murder. Depression is real. It does not erase three dead children. The press made the holdout the villain and treated the killings like the part you are supposed to get over.
