I am adding a postscript to my last Gab on Matt Ehret and Cynthia Chung about Americans have been living in a recession for decades. The first time I went to Switzerland and Germany was was 1981 shortly after Reagan Admin was hit with 21% interest rates and US Treasury bonds were 11% to 14%. I did not even have a passport. The meetings with Swiss National Bank and Germany’s Bundesbank were on the corporate jet of Prudential Bache Securities. The Swiss franc was 4.3 to $1. Today the USD is only $0.83 cents to 1 Swiss franc. Every time I hear some American touting how strong the US dollar is, it proves to me how clueless Americans are as to how devastating DC policies have harmed Americans and America slowly like cancer.
