検非違使　kebiishi.【追儺 Tsuina Ceremony 】22 検非違使は日本の平安時代　鎌倉時代にいた 警察・軍の役目を果たしている役職です。 都のほか各国々にもいて、概ね治安を守ったりしていました。 彼らの仕事は色々あるのですが 今回の場合は賊の追う役目をしています。 国司（kokushi こくし）は今で言うところの知事のような役職で 別当（bettou べっとう）は検非違使庁の下に位置する地位で 長官の意味でしょうか。別当自体は検非違使ではないそうです。 これらは犯罪者、賊を追うにあたり報告が必要な機関のようです。 後々武士や侍となっていく前段階の役職のようにも思います。 検非違使だった武将として 源義経などは検非違使の尉＝判官とされています。 The kenjibishi （検非違使）were in Japan during the Heian and Kamakura periods. It is a position that serves as a police and military force. They were located in the capital as well as in many other countries, and generally kept public order. They had a variety of jobs, but in this case, their role was to chase bandits. In this case, they are in charge of chasing bandits. A kokushi (国司) is a position similar to that of a governor today. Betsudo(別当） is the chief administrator over the censors, but he is not a censor himself. These were the institutions that were required to report to in pursuit of criminals and bandits. I think that this is a preliminary position to becoming a bushi(武士） or samurai（侍） later on.
