In response to Rob Colbert's post: I just heard from this morning from a friend in his eighties: "During the war (WWII) we went hungry. Many white people starved because there was no food, nothing was available." He claimed black folks took our jobs because they were paid less, and we went hungry or starved. "Many white people died from malnourishment and starvation." He could be a little prejudiced, but there is a kernel of truth here. You don't work, you don't eat much, or at all. That is life, a life Americans don't know and have no clue about that today. The hunger part will happen again and Americans will know privation. Sorry about the bad news. This corgi is thinking critically however.
