Sometimes Orlov’s interviews are trolling the western empires, and while I enjoy those as a guilty pleasure, this interview is eloquently #informative through and through. Regarding collapse of the #USA, I live on the southern shore of Lake Erie in a rust belt city, where we’ve long adapted to living among the ruins of American industrial might. So we’re used to it here. The post industrial areas of the USA that bloomed after WWII due only to cheap oil, freeways, (rapidly depleting) aquifers, and air conditioning may be less resilient. While at my age it’s too difficult to uproot myself, I can only hope for a future where we’re not lead by pathologically acquisitive and venal jackasses.
