New Hampshire State Rep. Calvin Beaulier has filed a proposal for a New Hampshire GRANITE Act...a bill that would bar state courts, agencies, and officials from helping enforce foreign censorship orders against speech protected in the US. If enacted, foreign governments could still act within their own jurisdictions, but they wouldn’t be able to use New Hampshire’s legal machinery to enforce censorship judgments, fines, or demands targeting constitutionally protected speech. The proposal is part of a bigger push for similar “foreign censorship shield” laws in states including Wyoming and West Virginia, alongside a federal GRANITE Act in Congress. Beaulier’s wants to make New Hampshire a “granite fortress of free speech.” https://reclaimthenet.org/new-hampshire-granite-act-shields-protected-speech
