They said I was selfish… I said I’m homesick. In a world that tells you to “just deal with it,” sometimes the deepest cry of your heart is simply: “When do I get to go Home?” I used to stare at the stars from the hood of my car with Enya playing, whispering that question into the night. The pain, the rejection, the fire of this broken world... it all made me long for something brighter, perfect, eternal. They called it selfish. I call it holy homesickness. This life isn’t supposed to feel like home. We were made for more... we were made for another country where every tear is wiped away and perfect love remains forever. The babies who slip straight into Jesus’ arms remind us of that mercy… and the rest of us walk through the refining fire so we can carry a testimony the angels can’t sing. If you’ve ever felt that ache... the quiet longing for heaven that no amount of “toughen up” can fix, you’re not broken. You’re just remembering where you really belong. https://www.retrosonya.com/blog-1
