Oh yes, when I think about what is “good for the church,” I think about publicly leveling damning accusations against someone and then refusing to present evidence, leaving Christians to divide out along tribal lines with nothing but speculation. And all this done as a proxy attack against a man who wrote a book you don’t like and, apparently, can’t refute. Yes, very much good for the church. Maybe he’s right. Maybe Achord lied. I don’t really know. But thus far, he has not met the burden of proof with his accusations. He accused *very* publicly but then retreats to private for his proof. This is not how Christians ought to act. For all his talk about wisdom, Alastair Roberts has shown little in this matter. He has sowed speculation and discord among the church to score points against Stephen Wolfe.
