Selling a cargo trailer for $3K on FB: Buyers: I have cash, can I come over? Selling a snowboard for $50 on FB: Buyers: How big is it? Are the bindings new? How are the rails? What brand is it? Can I see it? The lesson - for almost anything you want to part with, barring items are are legitimately worth at least $500 used, you are far better off donating it to a thrift store or a church than you are trying to sell it yourself. It just isn't worth the hassle. There are exceptions, like silver coins, that have a hard street value, but for the most part, it just isn't worth the time and hassle.
