No they are not, as a general rule, "stupid", they understand that their policy will not make their society better which means they are EVIL, not (necessarily) stupid. Please learn the difference between stupidity and evil. The more you think that politicians think the way you do with the same priorities you have the more stupid YOU are. Please stop excusing evil by pretending it is stupidity.
