P.T. was right - rubes are born every minute You know what’s really fascinating about the relationship between evangelicals and Trump is the manner in which he brought them around to his point of view, his con. They’ve pretty much given up on the prior bogus claim of he’s a real Christian to making every accommodation they can. The focus has shifted and for good reason as Trump the Christian is no longer sustainable - now it’s all about Trump is a modern day Cyrus and the Lord works in mysterious ways. P.T. Barnum would be in awe - but then televangelists adhere to the Barnum principle of separating rubes from their money and recognize an opportunity when they see one.
