The United States and the U.S. Constituion, as we know it today, almost didn’t exist… because five weeks into it, the Constitional Convention was falling apart. “In this situation of this assembly, groping, as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when presented to us, how has it happened, sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of applying to the Father of Lights to illuminate our understandings?” Benjamin Franklin, known as the least religious Founding Father, understood that things were falling apart because the delegations forgot God. Our situation is no different today. America has only fallen by one step… government has forgotten that there is a power greater than itself. We must remind them.
