Another example of institutionalized stupidity aka government at work. In the UK, amazon and ebay were forced to pull oxygen meters from their stores because they didn’t meet labeling requirements. Some of the products has the audacity to claim that they were approved by the local health authorities but really they were not. But here is the kicker: The investigation found that all the devices “passed accuracy tests for measuring oxygen levels in the blood”. Meaning: Those cheap oximeters were all excellent gadgets. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. So they bankrupted a whole bunch of companies that were producing good and well functioning and super affordable blood oxygen meters because they didn’t have the right stickers on. On top of that, they are now calling for legislation to punish such horrible infractions much harder in the future. Madness. They ruin people and restrict your access to valuable products by claiming that it is for your protection. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10651523/Amazon-eBay-Wish-forced-pull-dangerous-DIY-blood-oxygen-tests.html
