I liked the part where Charlie emphatically blurted out the "he fought in Iraq for our freedom!" line. Has your freedom increased since the Iraq war? Who actually enjoys more freedom today? You could argue the security state, international bankers, war profiteers... all have more power today, which is something like freedom; inversely proportional to the freedom of Americans. Americans' freedom has empirically and obviously decreased so substantially since the Iraq war that you could eat lead paint chips like Pringles and still understand your freedom was not protected or fought for. Who exactly "our" refers to when the "media" (freedom quotes) and "government" send Americans to kill overseas in forever "wars" must be one of the great mysteries of the last several decades. I wonder if we'll ever solve it. Is it possible Charlie is referring to TPUSA themselves when he says "our"? If that is a personal confession of benefit, you have to wonder, who are the shadowed interests hiding behind their TP curtains that actually benefited from Iraq?
