I managed to upload images to Gab and then attach an image preview with an anonymous node.js codepen. The url returns a dynamic page that links back to Gab's own hosted image, along with the appropriate metadata to work with the image preview feature. It works because media attachments are processed and saved before being posted and furthermore, Gab generates a preview card image after parsing a page with the correct metadata.
