Been experimenting with local AI (the new powerful open source Llama 3) and for the first time in my life it's looking like it could actually be useful to me. Alas, it is painfully slow. Like wait a day or two for the results slow. I suddenly find myself wishing I had some really high end hardware. But I just can't justify spending the thousands of dollars for what is really just a retirement hobby.
