Ha, that didn't last long https://www.ucar.edu/https://www.ucar.edu/ I remember my dad telling me how the US troops were all sea sick after being cooped up for a week or so on Normany ferries, D Day. He was astonished how badly handled the whole thing was. Hard to imagine they didn't suffer worse casualties. Imagine having to disembark into a running squall where even the target harbour pulled itself to pieces. They do say The General in charge was consoling himself with his secretary. What happened to her, I wonder. Hard to believe god was smiling that day.
