A little bit on Socialism, from http://moonofalabama.org comments: "... I can tell you with absolute certainty that the average Chinese person will be "richer" (in which terms?) than the average American not because of "socialism", but because of China's capitalist elements in their current variant of socialism — which would *never* pass the smell test by any old-school/1980s socialist scholar; but socialist theorists have been moving the goal posts to match the theory to their reality ever since. Even in a perfect socialist world, at some point those in power would still manage to ration an unlimited resource, be it fresh air, sand, waste water or stupidity.
