*elevates on high* Something terrible just occurred to me. My family largely cut off from me... and each and every member of my family, they will eventually get old and in their old age, well... when dementia sets in, they're likely to suddenly wonder why I'm not around. Of course, my family, being as they are, they will lie. First to my dad. They'll have to lie to him and tell him that I died in an accident or something. Think about that, inflicting him with a false memory he spends the rest of his days desperately trying to recover, trying to member burying a son he never did. Of course... he'll forget. Over and over and over... for days, months, years, maybe decades, they'll have to keep telling him the same emotionally eviscerating lie... again and again and again. Every time they'll have to experience the shock and awe of a parent losing a loved one they never actually did. They'll have to live with stabbing hell into their own father just to keep ostracizing me. Of course, more than my father, they'll have to tell their own kids, because eventually they'll get old and when dementia kicks in... well, is that really something you should have kept secret? This is why you don't hide from communication... because most of us get old. You don't want to be responsible for creating hell. Not a problem for me of course, I archive most of my thoughts digitally, so I have a permanent digital backup of my brain already that can act as virtual memory in case my real one fails.
