Well, I watched the new Spider-Man movie... it was... boring. Spoilers ahead! ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ Some good emotional stuff with Peter and the actress they got for Jean Grey, both of them were... well, the entire film. I'm glad this Spider-Man's MJ got written off as a friend, not only was the character awful but the actress that plays her isn't very good. The new potential love interest with Jean Grey and setting up for X-Men tie ins... good stuff. But that's where the good ends. Let's start with, uh... The Punisher. Was it? I thought it was like the rhino guy or like a villian that was turning a new leaf or something... it just... it didn't make any sense, like... oh, woah, okay The Punisher is suddenly in this... but I wouldn't even know that except I'm like a super nerd who remembers the name Frank Castle and then I suddenly realized... oh, it's like... a mentally retarded version of The Punisher... cause... diversity, I guess, I dunno. So, there's like a mentally retarded, explosive happy version of The Punisher that's... absolutely nothing like The Punisher and it gets even more confusing when you realize that if someone is unfamiliar with this character... they didn't really give any coherent backstory. There's no reason for them to even ~be~ in this story, but... cameos help sell the imaginary tickets! Yeah, let's not play pretend, no one is watching these movies, no one is actually paying money to see this shit, cause... wow it's bad! I mean I can understand watching this kinda shit for free, as like a brand promotion or IP retaining action. There's issues with a lot of comic character contracts where movie studios are beholden to making a certain number of movies if they hold the property or else they lose the rights. So the studios don't really give a shit what's even in the movies, they don't even need to make money, they just need to retain control of the IP. And that's fine, that's cool... but don't play pretend and steal money from investors by pretending that made for TV movies are somehow Hollywood blockbusters. This is the kinda shit you'd watch for free on YouTube "with ads". In fact, they'd probably make more REAL money doing that than playing pretend with fake ticket sales. *takes a long toke at it* So... can we fix it? It's pretty fucked... the story... Spider-Man becomes reclusive, living his best single, loner life and doing what he loves... fighting crime! It feels like home to me! I am in near absolute isolation and I spend all my time writing... because I love stories! I love the way fiction can make you feel. I love the way an artist can encode their emotions into expression and then we can experience those same emotions, metapathically transmitted, much like the telepathic powers of Jean Grey in this movie. I can make you feel what I feel! It's really amazing if you're a true artisan who has an incredible range of emotion to work with, to perceptually paint from pain is... Resurrects the sense of revelation in man. The ability to read reality doesn't come cheap... you can't just experience agony... you can't just be in hell... you have to endure it. You have to break hell itself with patience! Otherwise, you don't understand the pain, you simply suffer from it. Understanding pain makes pain worse, but in understanding pain, in listening to pain, you can hear it. The screaming! Your cells are SCREAMING AT YOU! As small as they are, with as many trillions to the power of trillions of them... when they all start screaming at once... that's the sensation of pain! I spent a long time in isolation... https://gab.com/Onideus/posts/117109254473287684 Long enough to listen to pain. What else are you going to listen to in silence? So I hear my nerves screaming in serrated sequence through my body. I can feel the absence of being as a being the world rejected using blasphemy against its own laws and its own God... which must make me something infinitely scarier than the human perception of God. Not that, that's a high bar, given that you're all FAKING IT... or you were, until I started "explaining" shit. That must be REALLY jarring for a lot of people, cause the presence of my perception means a lot you should have been operating with a higher dimensional sense of self-preservation in mind. A lot weren't. They thought the proverbial parents were out of reality and they could just do whatever! Like they think they ~own~ reality simply by ignoring omni-dimensional beings. Let's just pretend God isn't real that will make him go away! LOL The real Frank Castle, at the end of this terrible movie, he would have put a bullet in the bad guy who otherwise "got away". Only a retarded version of the character would shoot the girl. Character wise it doesn't even make any sense. The opposite does. If Frank Castle had even a 1% chance to save his daughter by destroying every form of government in existence; he would, even if she was a mutant.
