Moving right along! Gemini... you are... not that helpful. Grok... you are... slightly helpful. *cracks creationary knuckles* Let's give it some structure! Okay, so... the movie opens with temporal archeologists getting killed by the dinosaur equivalent of Zelda's ReDeads, except the "scream" sound comes from their vibrating skin spines and it causes paralysis of the nervous system of the prey. They can still scream and emote, but they can't otherwise move as they're being leisurely eaten alive. And let's say there's like two temporal soldiers and one gets killed essentially saving the other and getting him through a portal and one of the time nerds or temporal scientists escapes too. So they escape through the portal, but they're not in some future, they're in our time frame, on our Earth and they close the portal from our end, but not before dozens of raptor sized ReDead dinos rush through. Where? Wherever they want. The government on our Earth of course finds out and starts investigating and their "UFO divisions" and "space force" can't make heads or tails of what these monsters are or where they came from. Until they recover the low wage temporal workers, who let's say get knocked out in a blast that knocks out the portal. Ironically, this actually saves them, because the scary dinosaurs won't eat anything unless it's standing upright and they can trap it like that with their vibrating spines. You can't play dead though, they can also emit a vibration that causes severe pain, the kind that will force you to move... unless you're actually unconscious, then you won't feel it and the dinosaurs don't try to eat you. So you can basically knock yourself out as a means to save yourself. So the government recovers the temporal workers who explain what's going on, that there's a second Earth, it's full of dinosaurs with crazy advanced evolution and a number of them breached onto the Earth. So why didn't they jump from the future directly to the dino planet in the past? Well, that was the issue. They used atemporal hypersplicing to create a second iteration of the Earth. So imagine the Earth six months ago, imagine you transport that entire planet through time, six months into the future. It won't erase the other iteration of the Earth that exists though, it's just creating a kind of quantum duplicate, reinstanced reality. It's like making a copy of a part of time and pasting that copy into the future of itself. So one Earth got hit by the meteor and the other... uh... where is it? It's not in the future and they don't know why, so they send a team into the Earth's past and then from there, well they don't use space ships, they just Pi shift aspatially through portals just like they do through time. So essentially they go back in time, build an omnidimensional transporter in the past and use it to jump over to the missing Earth after detecting it in the past in our presumed present. Shit goes wrong, obviously. But it gets worse. You see the time workers team up with the government of the past, in secret, to find out exactly what's going on. And this seems like a good idea... at first. Because once they understand what they're dealing with and once the presumed past is armed with advanced weapons from the future... they're good to go! You see, one of the reasons they got desperate enough to destroy their portal, was because they knew they had a backup... on the dino planet. The portals require special crystals made out of artificial, irregular sized atoms which allow for crazy stupid level energy storage in a teeny tiny space. They destroyed the one crystal, overloaded it and the second one is in the other portal. That creates a BIGGER problem, because they find out why the planet doesn't exist in the future... the past burned it... the presumed present they're in is what drives the planet into the sun. Why? Because the other portal was activated... into the future of the dino planet... which then brought its living dead spore zombies into the past dino planet. So they go in like Aliens 2, thinkin it's some standard bug hunt, but... oh shi- they wind up waltzing right on into hell! After they fuck around and find out, they decide to get rid of the planet! Or rather the greater temporal authority makes that decision... except not so good... cause the "plan" is to burn BOTH planets and then simply reinstance them both from before the temporal agents went back. Temporal agents are still dead as they exist outside of relative time-space, our version of Earth is never infected by the dinosaurs and... they get an unimaginable weapon. The two surviving time agents are left for dead after finding out the temporal authority wants to keep the dino planet even though it's the highest crime against creation. Meaning temporal law doesn't allow anyone to use time tech to produce evolutional weapons and such weapons must be disposed of. So they try to cover it all up. Pleh, outta room.
