Gab Video

Gab Video is the long-form video surface inside Gab Social. Creators publish full-length commentary, interviews, sermons, documentaries, and analysis without the advertiser-friendly content rules that drive demonetization decisions on the major video platforms.

How uploading works

Video is uploaded through the normal Gab composer and appears on your profile, in your followers' feeds, and in the public video timeline. GabPRO subscribers get higher upload limits — see pro.gab.com for current details.

What is allowed

Moderation follows Gab's Terms of Service: illegal content, threats of violence, doxxing, and pornography are prohibited. Legal speech is not removed because an advertiser objected to the subject matter. That is the substantive difference from platforms where a video can be demonetized or removed for discussing a disfavored topic.

Gab Video compared to YouTube

YouTube is far larger and pays creators through an ad-share programme that comes with advertiser-driven content rules. Gab Video is smaller and does not offer that ad-share, but it also does not remove or throttle legal content over subject matter. Many creators publish to both and treat Gab as the copy that will still be there later.

Who publishes here

Independent journalists and commentators whose channels have been restricted elsewhere, pastors and ministries publishing sermons and teaching series, and creators who simply want their back catalogue somewhere it will not be retroactively removed after a policy update. Documentary and long-interview formats do well because there is no incentive to cut them to fit an ad break.

Watching without an account

Public video is viewable without logging in, which also means search engines can index it — so a video published on Gab is findable rather than locked behind a signup wall. A free account adds commenting, following creators, and building a feed of the ones you want to keep up with.

Use Gab Video for long-form horizontal video, Gab Clips for short vertical video, and Gab Live for real-time broadcasts. Video and Clips come with a free account; broadcasting live requires GabPRO. All three share one account and one profile, so a creator's long videos, shorts, and past streams are found in the same place.
