Gab on Mobile

Gab installs on phones and tablets as a progressive web app (PWA) — you add it from the browser and it behaves like a native app, with its own icon and a full-screen window. There is no app store download, because Apple and Google have both removed Gab from their stores.
Install on iPhone or iPad
- Open gab.com in Safari. (The install option only appears in Safari, not Chrome, on iOS.)
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
Install on Android
- Open gab.com in Chrome.
- Tap the menu button (three dots).
- Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
Why there is no app store version
Gab is not distributed through the App Store or Google Play. The progressive web app is the supported way to use Gab on mobile, and it updates automatically — there is nothing to reinstall when Gab ships changes, and no store review process sitting between a fix and the people who need it.
What a PWA gives you
Once installed, Gab gets its own home-screen icon and opens in a full-screen window without browser chrome, so in day-to-day use it is hard to distinguish from a native app. Because it is served from gab.com, it is always the current version. The trade-offs against a native app are real but modest: some platform integrations available to App Store apps are not available to web apps on iOS.
What works on mobile
Everything the web app does: posting, groups, video, clips, feeds, chat, and the marketplace. GabPRO subscribers can also broadcast on Gab Live from mobile.
If the install option does not appear
On iOS, Add to Home Screen only exists in Safari — Chrome and Firefox on iPhone cannot install web apps. On Android, make sure you are on gab.com itself rather than viewing it inside another app's in-app browser, which typically hides the install option. In both cases, opening gab.com directly in the system browser resolves it.
