Christian faith is central to Gab's founding values. Andrew Torba, Gab's founder and CEO, has been open about his Christian faith and has described Gab as a platform built on Christian principles — free speech, truth, and rejection of the technocratic censorship that he argues is inherently at odds with Christian values. This doesn't mean Gab is a Christian-only platform; it means its founder's convictions shaped the platform's culture and commitments.

What it means

Christianity has faced increasing censorship pressure on mainstream social media. Christian content creators have had videos demonetized for discussing Scripture, sermons have been removed for stating traditional Christian views on marriage and sexuality, and Christian organizations have been debanked for their beliefs. Gab's free speech commitment directly protects religious expression — including Christian expression — from this kind of viewpoint-based removal.

At the same time, Gab is open to people of all faiths and none. The Christian founding values inform the platform's culture — honesty, respect for family, free expression, rejection of surveillance capitalism — without creating an exclusionary religious test for membership. People from across the religious and secular spectrum participate on Gab.

Christian communities are among the most active on Gab. Prayer posts, Bible study groups, pastoral teaching, and Christian news are all prominent parts of the platform's culture. Christian accounts that have been removed from YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook for holding traditional views find on Gab a platform where those views are protected, not removed.
