Gabber
Last updated June 17, 2026
A Gabber is a user of Gab Social — the informal community term for someone who has an account on Gab and actively participates: posting, following others, joining groups, and engaging in discussions. It's the Gab equivalent of "tweeter" (on Twitter) or "redditor" (on Reddit).
What it means
The term is self-descriptive and community-adopted rather than an official Gab designation. Gabbers span a wide range: individual voices sharing their perspectives, journalists and commentators who've been deplatformed elsewhere, Christian communities, small business owners promoting through Gab Marketplace, and everyday people who simply want a place to speak without worrying that tomorrow's post will result in a suspension.
The community skews conservative, libertarian, and Christian in its composition, but the platform itself imposes no viewpoint requirement — it's a free speech platform, not an ideological one.
How it works on Gab
When you sign up for a Gab account, you're a Gabber. The identity is tied to participation — someone who just created an account but never posts is registered but not really a Gabber in the community sense. Active Gabbers post regularly, engage with others' content, and contribute to the network effect that makes the platform valuable.

Gabbers who support the platform financially are GabPRO members. Prominent or verified Gabbers can receive a verified account badge. The action of sharing someone else's post is a repost.
