Gab Video

Gab Video is the long-form video hosting feature within Gab Social, giving creators a place to publish full-length video content without the advertiser-driven content restrictions and demonetization risk that have become defining features of YouTube.

What it means

YouTube's content policies — and its advertiser-friendly guidelines that go beyond those policies — have resulted in thousands of creators having channels demonetized, restricted, or deleted for covering topics that advertisers find uncomfortable. Documentary filmmakers, political commentators, investigative journalists, and Christian content creators have all been affected. Gab Video offers a venue that isn't governed by third-party advertiser-friendly content rules and therefore doesn't carry the same structural incentive to silence challenging content.

How it works on Gab

Creators upload video files through their Gab account. Videos appear on their profile, in the Video section of the platform, and in followers' timelines. Videos are publicly accessible without a login, which means they're crawlable and indexable by search engines — important for discoverability beyond the Gab user base. As with other Gab content, there are no ad pre-rolls, no monetization flags, and no strikes for covering controversial-but-legal topics.
