Why can't I log in to Gab?

Login problems on Gab are almost always one of four things: wrong email, wrong password, unverified email, or the site being temporarily unreachable. Here's how to diagnose each.

Wrong email or password

The most common issue. Try typing your password into a text field to confirm it before entering it on the login page — autocomplete can sometimes fill in the wrong credential. If you're not sure which email you used, try your most-used addresses. If you've forgotten your password, reset it.

Email not confirmed

If you signed up recently but never clicked the confirmation link in your registration email, your account may be in an unconfirmed state. Check the inbox of the email you registered with for a confirmation email from Gab. Check spam if it's not in your inbox. You may be able to request a new confirmation email from the login page.

Two-factor authentication

If you've enabled 2FA and lost access to your authenticator app, recovery is more difficult. Check if you saved backup codes when you set up 2FA — those are your recovery path.

Is Gab down?

If nothing else explains the problem, check whether Gab is currently down. Occasional brief outages happen. Try again in a few minutes.

Account suspended

If your account was suspended for a terms violation, you'll typically receive a message explaining the suspension rather than a generic login error. If you believe a suspension was an error, contact Gab support.
