Is Gab a conservative platform?

Gab is a free speech platform, not a conservative platform. Its policies don't favor or require conservative views. However, its user base is predominantly conservative, Christian, and libertarian — because those communities have been most aggressively deplatformed from mainstream social media and have sought alternatives.

The distinction

There's a difference between a platform designed for one ideological group and a platform that attracts one ideological group because it's the only one that won't ban them. Gab is the latter.
