How do I install Gab on iPhone (PWA)?
Last updated June 17, 2026
Install Gab on iPhone by adding it to your Home Screen from Safari. It runs as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it looks and feels like a native app — full screen, home screen icon — without going through the App Store.
Step by step
- Open Safari on your iPhone (it must be Safari, not Chrome or Firefox).
- Go to gab.com and log in or browse for a moment so the page fully loads.
- Tap the Share button — the box with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen."
- Give it a name (or leave it as "Gab") and tap Add.
- The Gab icon appears on your Home Screen. Tap it to open Gab in full-screen mode.
What the PWA can and can't do
The PWA gives you most of the Gab experience: timeline, posting, groups, video, DMs, notifications. Apple limits some PWA capabilities compared to native apps — push notifications and certain hardware integrations may be more limited on iOS. Android PWAs generally have broader capability support.
Why there's no App Store version
Gab was removed from the Apple App Store. The PWA is how Gab ensures iPhone users can still access the platform regardless of Apple's decisions.
