Does Gab sell my data?
Last updated June 17, 2026
No — Gab does not sell user data to data brokers. Its business model is funded by GabPRO subscriptions and Gab Ads — not by packaging and selling your data.
Why this is different from ad-funded platforms
Facebook, Google, and Twitter are funded by advertising. The more accurately they can target ads to user interests, the more valuable their ad inventory is — which creates a direct financial incentive to collect, retain, and sell as much data about users as possible. This is the surveillance capitalism model.
Gab's model doesn't involve selling user data files to data brokers. Gab funds the free tier through Gab Ads (including third-party ads and retargeting) and GabPRO subscriptions — not by packaging and selling your data. See how to advertise on Gab if you're a business.
