What are Gab's community guidelines?
Last updated June 17, 2026
Gab's community guidelines center on a single core principle: U.S. law is the floor, and legal speech is protected. Content that crosses into illegal territory is removed; content that is merely offensive, controversial, or politically unpopular is not.
The key rules
Gab's Terms of Service prohibit:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Credible threats of violence against specific people
- Doxxing with intent to harass or incite harm
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior (bots, sockpuppet networks)
- Spam and automated abuse
- Copyright infringement (DMCA)
What the guidelines protect
Political speech, religious expression, satire, criticism of public figures, heterodox views on any topic — all of these are protected. Gab's guidelines are designed to be content-neutral: the rules apply the same way regardless of political affiliation, religion, or ideology.
