What are Gab Clips?
Last updated June 17, 2026
Gab Clips is Gab's short-form vertical video feature — the format familiar from TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Upload a short vertical video, add a caption, and it appears in the Clips feed alongside the main timeline.
How Clips work
Create a Clip from the Gab post composer by uploading a short video file. Clips are displayed in portrait/vertical format and are browsable in the dedicated Clips section at gab.com/timeline/clips. They also appear in creators' profiles and in the main timeline for followers. Like all public Gab content, Clips are viewable without logging in — which means they can appear in search results.
Why Clips exist
Short-form video has become the dominant content format of the mid-2020s, but the major platforms that host it — TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels — apply extensive content moderation. Creators who've been removed or restricted elsewhere find in Gab Clips a short-video venue that doesn't operate on advertiser-friendly content rules.
Clips vs Video vs Live
Clips is for short-form content (think seconds to a couple minutes). Gab Video handles longer-form uploads at gab.com/timeline/videos. Gab Live is for real-time broadcasts. All three are available on the platform as part of the same account.
